A champion guide who became a bridge to China

Before China Express Travel carried its first traveller, there was one guide who knew the country the way few ever would. Li Liang Yi rose through China’s tour-guide ranks to be named the very first champion of the nation’s Top Ten Tour Guides. In 1994 he carried that mastery to Singapore and founded China Express Travel, devoting it to a single purpose: to lead travellers into the China that lies beyond the guidebook.

For more than thirty years he has charted routes others called impossible, trained the guides who walk them, and earned the trust of provincial governments, embassies, and academies across China. To his guests he is simply 李总; to a generation of students, 李教授.

在华运旅游迎来第一位旅人之前，已有一位领队，比旁人更深地读懂了这片土地。李良义先生自中国导游之列脱颖而出，摘得全国首届“十佳导游员”之首。一九九四年，他将这份功力带到新加坡，创办华运旅游，只为一个心愿——带旅人走进导览手册之外、真正的中国。

三十余年，他开辟了别人以为走不通的线路，培养了走这些线路的领队，也赢得了中国各省政府、使领馆与学府的信任。在旅人眼中，他是李总；在学子心中，他是李教授。
