Fly via Beijing to Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia. Transfer to your hotel for dinner and rest.

Visit Sand Lake, a paradise of birds and water with its sand-sculpture park, then the Qingtongxia 108 Pagodas, a Western Xia triangular pagoda group mirrored in the reservoir.

Cross the Helan Mountains to the Tengger Desert for a 4WD three-lake crossing — the blood-red Heart of the Earth at Wulan Lake (with group drone photography), the pink Camel Lake and Guitar Lake. Visit Guangzong Temple, Alxa’s largest, holding the stupa of the 6th Dalai Lama.
