Fly to Xiamen, the Pearl of the Sea. Visit Nanputuo Temple, drive the Island Ring Road and Huangcuo Beach.

Travel to Shantou for the Chaoshan Overseas Chinese History Museum and the Qiaopi Museum, the old-town arcade buildings and the nostalgic Little Park.

Cross the Nan’ao Bridge to Nan’ao Island — the Red Lighthouse, the Tropic of Cancer Square Gate of Nature, and Qing’ao Bay — then a lively Shantou seafood market.

Ferry to Gulangyu (incl. tram), the World Architecture Expo of a thousand buildings — the Shuzhuang Garden and Piano Museum, distant Sunlight Rock, Shapowei harbour and the Yanwu Bridge sea platform. A seafood feast tonight.
