A warm welcome at the panda-themed Anjing Station before boarding the Chengdu Hao. Onboard today: Sichuan Opera Face-Changing, Panda Blessings and a lantern riddle quiz.

A full day on the rails through Gansu’s Hexi Corridor — Wuwei, Zhangye, Jiuquan and Dunhuang — with sweeping Gobi and canyon views. Relaxed onboard games and leisure.
整日驰行河西走廊 — 武威、张掖、酒泉、敦煌 — 饱览辽阔戈壁与峡谷。车上休闲娱乐，悠然自在。
In Turpan, visit the Karez Well System, one of ancient China’s three great works, and the Flaming Mountains with China’s largest outdoor thermometer. Board the train, then a Gaochang welcome feast, and stay in Korla.

Travel the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway to the Pamir: Bulunkul Lake and White Sand Mountain (3,300m), then Karakul Lake (3,600m) beneath Muztagh Ata. A yak hot pot, and overnight in Tashkurgan (3,000m). Please pace yourself at altitude.

Tour Kashgar Ancient City, a living fossil of the Western Regions, with its City Gate opening ceremony, and the Id Kah Mosque (1442). Board the Chengdu Hao for Kuqa.

Visit the Tianshan Grand Canyon, one of China’s ten most beautiful, the Kuqa King’s Palace blending Uyghur, Han and Russian styles, and the Grand Naan City, home of the metre-wide King of Naan.

Drive to Luntai for the Populus Euphratica Forest, the world’s largest at over 400,000 mu, golden in autumn light. Board the Chengdu Hao for Urumqi.

Tour the 5A Tianshan Tianchi, the Heavenly Lake on Earth — Stone Gate, Pine Viewing, Moonlit Dragon Pool and distant Bogda Peak. A Dawaz welcome feast tonight in Urumqi.
